Any ETA On Player's Capital Ship Attack Enemy's or Defend It Self Fix

Player's Capital Ship doesn't Attack Enemies or Defend itself against them. Just wondering if this is considered a bug or feature to come and when it will come. To me it breaks the emersion of being in the x universe when your ship doesn't' defend itself.
