1: Capship Defenders like Balors shoot at their own Bases in an attempt to kill small Transports detected as *enemys* by scanning Policeships.
An example: Balors shoot with their Novalaunchers at small Taxiships! and a Taranis can wreck a whole section of a station while trying to hit a Taxiship with its Plasmaturrets.
---
This results in destroyed stationparts and components through friendly fire and will wreck a Station in a couple of Ingame days.
This will also happen to other Galaxys like Omicron Lyrae and it seems to happen if the Player is out of Sector too, because i came across a couple of half destroyed Stations in well defended Sectors.

They do, however i never saw a cap ship win against station. They eventually get vaporized when they get close enough. Saw Arawn once die so fast that i couldnt finish boarding it.Mordegar wrote:1: Capship Defenders like Balors shoot at their own Bases in an attempt to kill small Transports detected as *enemys* by scanning Policeships.

I've seen a Tanaris cap ship rip two stations apart because it maintained some distance and was just 'nuking' the hell out of it, that to be said I've seen multiple cap ships just flying straight at a station and be blown up while inside it(obvious moron AI at it's worst:P).
But the smaller ships tend to try ramming a station quite often it seems(bad steering).
Funny enough blasting the engines of ships makes them point straight up(atleast in every single one of my encounters with one) instead of just slowly stopping.
