[Request] Replace cargo drones with 'teleporter'

We all know about the current state of trading in the game, i.e. it is effectively broken because traders get stuck at a station for one reason or another.

As a temporary fix (or maybe permanent), would it be possible to develop a mod that replaces the process of using cargo drones to transfer goods at a station, with a process that simply 'teleports' the goods from the ship to the station and vice versa.

This would eliminate one of the major reasons for the breakdown in trading, and possibly also speed up the entire economy somewhat by eliminating the time taken for the cargo drone transfer.

This doesn't address the other reasons for Trading breaking down, but it would be a start. :)

There was a transporter in the other X games but not for trading, but then it was used for a lot of stuff, so might work. I dont mind drones for this, if they were available and worked, and maybe for a few other things like ship repairs on fleet ships, but thats another ink, sorry.

I second this. I've been stuck on the 300 rations mission for the past 5 days, even trying out different ships for the delivery. Gotten some good salvaging/boarding practice in the meantime though.

Your bug likely has nothing to do with your drones. (Have you tried to use cargo drones? Do you know what they are? Those neat little things that shuttle goods between station and ship? You need to buy those. They don't come standard, they aren't SatNav or ABS)

As for teleporting. No, get out. Power costs are astronomical.

That is not true.

All drones in the game are broken. No mining, no trade, no fight.
The AI-trader have the same problem!

Just look after some gameplayhours arround you!

Not true, Freya. I sat and watched a NPC freighter dock with my Construction ship, cargo drones emerge and begin the transfer process. All good right? Almost.
Close to the end of the transfer process, a single cargo drone apparently could not sort out it's pathing and ended up wandering in and around the Construction ship for more than 10 minutes.
The moment I shot it out of the 'sky', a final drone emerged, docked with the freighter, and the freighter moved off.

This behavior has also been documented by other people in other threads, so my request is to see if a mod can be produced to bypass the cargo drone process.
With this known economy-breaking/game-breaking bug neutralized, many more people will be able to actually play and enjoy the game.

I'm also not saying that this is the ONLY game-breaking bug with Trading, but this is one that has been clearly identified and can hopefully be addressed with a mod.

Please do it, ASAP. This would fix some of the worst gamebraking problems Rebirth has. I am waiting for my construction ship for last two hours to start buying food (and yes, I upgraded it with 15 cargo lifters), it has docked near the station, reports that cargo lifters are in use, and does *nothing*. I even traveled to different sectors to see if there is OOS behavior like in previous X games.
It may take Egosoft quite long to fix all the bugs in trading, we need some workaround and this is it. If possible, give it more range too, so transport ships don't have to get so close and get stuck somewhere.
