Hi
Below are a couple of graphical bugs and solutions, they are not game breaking but are a pain when you get them.
BUG 1: When you return to your cockpit from the station, either via the control panel or jumping back, the animation of returning to your seat doesn't appear to load and you walk through the door and the chair doesn't turn. When you then use any of the ship displays (trade, status, map etc.) none of them appear.
SOLUTION 1: The simple solution I've found is to hit (Enter-5) and visit your crew, you will leave your chair and enter the back of the ship. Once there use the control panel to return to the cockpit. 99.9% of the time this works for me.
BUG 2: When scanning ships you can't scan the Launchers because the don't have any info "I" spots (WHY?) so the only why I've found it to target them via the ZONE Map. When looking at the zone map, open up the station and you can view all the parts of it, find the ones you've not scanned (0%) then select details, from the details screen you can then plot a course, which will target the item.
The actual bug here is that when I select the DETAILS of some items it appears to FREEZE, no other menu button works. The only thing that seems to work is the ESC menu (Load, Save (disabled), Exit etc.) So I always exited as I couldn't save) - DON'T EXIT.
SOLUTION 2: The Solution I've found to this is to open the Main Menu (ESC), then go to Settings, graphical - Change the AA setting. I'm sure other settings in here will work as well but I always use the AA (I switch between x8 and x4). This then seems to free up the Zone map and allow you to back out of it and try again.
As I said both of these are not game breaking, but a pain when they happen!
What would be nice to know if this happens to everyone or just a few?
Hope this help.
H
Hopefully EgoSoft will fix these ASAP.
