v1.16 Broke a lot more than just Highways

Since the v1.16 patch I noticed that in the past 4 hours of gameplay today that no more trade is going on.

Not with my ships mind you but with day to day NPC ships. The big transport ships have stopped...like I don't see them coming in or out of highways anymore. I don't see them moving about at stations. While in this same process I tried to go to build a ship when it came to my attention that no matter what I tried to build everything just stays at 0%. Not sure if there are just no resources available due to no transports or its bugged. When going around all I occasionally see is a Rahanas here and there just sitting outside a station not moving but thats it. Far far far less ships than ever. The zones feel greatly empty.

Of course I thought this was kinda of weird so I loaded another game save and also tried to build a ship at another dock. Nothing. This point is where I noticed that the big ships are no longer trading. Been wandering around systems for 30 mins without a huge transport in sight. The smaller ships are still going on but anything that used to be carried in like a Rahanas is just not happening.

Have you tried a new game?

I currently have a problem with the delivery of 100 ECells (since v1.15) because two Rahanas type vessels are blocking the delivery ports of the destination station.

Another restart required??? :gruebel:

I have wasted my week-off trying to do a play through the campaign and on my 3rd full restart (inc. several hours wasted because of the negative capacity bug). :rant:

Confirmed zero trade in my game.

Ships just sat at dock with no drones unloading.

Yes and in fact if you do that you can see it partly in action. Start a new game and almost every freighter except 1 just jumps out within the first minute and they are never seen again. The 1 left over just sits there in space.

Then if I fly to another system 5 minutes later there is maybe 1 sitting next to a highway just not doing anything. Over the course of the next 15 minutes the entire sector of Far Out is empty of any capital freighters. So I head to the Ascendancy sector the same situation is happening here. I'm quite curious where they are all going. Taking goods and then never appearing again lol.

:!: This quick patching is all well and good but if they do not test things properly before releasing it the "fix(es)" can make matters worse. Any decent software engineer or developer house should know that. :rant:

:idea: Less haste more speed please Egosoft (unless you are working the weekend as well to fix all these CRITICAL issues) :goner:

I have had ships just stack on top of each other (still a fair distance between them) and just create 5-6 ship stacks and sit there. I went to Shady vault to try and get mining drones to finally fix my bugged mining ship and there are literally 8-9 just sitting around one engineering wing. (There are 3 wings) However, the last wing where all the war ships are built is where i see war ships being built however, they just leave the dock and float there.

Highways usually lead me to crashing with the "serious error" problem.
Stupid thing is, before 1.16, my game was running seamlessly. (Apart from the occasional FPS drops)

I have nothing to do with my mining ship now because i can't refuel it either... Fk.

Its not just IE. Its chrome and firefox as well. THis site is just garbage is all.

yes, I've seen this too, ships just stacked up in lines waiting at stations, maybe 1-2 moving around. Then also, crashes during boarding or anytime I go to Wreckville...just exiting there is a guaranteed crash, been trying to improve my boarding. Haven't won since the last 2 patches the timer is made for young kids I guess, because with 42 marines ..a good assortment of all types led by 2 elites, they all die by the time I get 75% through that long speech the dummy gives us.

oh and PS..now every time I get behind ships instead of their info half the time I see engine codes...and when I'm boarding codes pop up when things explode, and now intermediate freighters aren't even boardable, the option to board the smaller freighters doesn't even come up...this was a heck of a patch.

1.16 had broken my save loads, and bad stuttering, lagging and constant crashes :(

I loosing my trade ships. Everything work fine untill is ship without fuel. Then didnt ask for refuel. Add to squad and remove do not help. If I flying with trading ship, then the ship survive but didnt accept refuel command and is freezed. If I leave place the ship goinng lost hull without any reason.

I'm currently on my n-th attempt to do the campaign, and as I flew toward the zone where you first go through the jumpgate, the gate cutscene triggered the instant I emerged from the highway, which is in totally the wrong place for it to happen.

When the cutscene finished, my ship was still in Albion sector (should have been on the other side of the gate), but it was frozen in space with no engine or steering. I could see all the NPC ships going about their business, and I could use the center console menu functions, just couldn't move an inch.

No joystick, mouse or keyboard steering or throttle worked, tried them all.

Had to reload from an earlier save.

I know where the cutscene is supposed to trigger, seeing as I have played through that part at least 5 times previously, lol

yeah there are ranodm crashes now also in new games i dotn had them before

The transport URVs seem to be considered unavailable after they're used once. In-game they're considered "In-use."

My game now crashes randomly and frequently since 1.16, most of my ships are stuck including NPC ships (transports) all stuck on station. USing Alt-Tab also causes it to crash though this is supposed to be fixed. Also docking at the cap ship yard to make any of the only 4 cap ships causes me to start walking through the doors of my ship and the chair no longer greats me and i loose all displays that pop up (such as trade etc.)

This is now way worse than when I first launched the game!

I was building a station which I also noticed randomly appears in build stages in space and disappears/reappears when entering system or loading from save.

So far not achieved very much in 60hrs of game play :-(

-- oh and all my scoop drones are stuck in a nice tidy line in Shady Vault, the ship wont stop mining even though i have asked it and the drones are not doing anything!.. sigh.

Looks like v1.17 fixed the issue. Freighters appeared everywhere and are trading! Ships are building as well!

my game is broken and constantly crashing now, usually either after exiting the normal highways or just docking.

I get the Serroius error XU_2013 message

Brand new game in free-mode.

Yeah I was just going to post as well. It looks like even though the trading is working again the crashing is even worse. I'm now in the camp of wanting to be in v1.15 again because I've never had crashes before and this is just terrible. Can't even play for more than 5-10 minutes without a crash. :(

Crashing at highways and crashing at stations.

I think its because of the new patch, my game crashes everytime a new patch is released or steam starts updating my other games. Apparently its not an issue with the game but steam which i find strange cos it doesnt happen with any other game.

No crashing here but my save from v1.6 still has freighters stuck at the trade ports.

Guess i have to start over ....again...... :roll:

well i see some movement, but my ship is still stuck and my drones and it still crashes randomly. Not able to play at all.
