v1.14 worked well for me, good frame rate and no crashes.
1.15 introduced stutter and 1.16 totally killed frame rate and causes crashes whenever I leave the highways .
When I saw that 1.15 was announced I thought that I should backup 1.14 (because it was working) but I was too late as steam had already updated to 1.15. Has anyone been making backups for roll-back purposes?
I have been waiting so long for a new space sim (read non MMO) and the X series have always been such a wonderful space sim with amazing depth.
The initial sales figures show, that I wasn't the only one, so the Devs and publisher should truly hang their heads in disgrace for this debacle, they had opportunity to fill a need in the gaming community and could have generated spectacular sales figures and an even bigger fan base in doing so.
I’m now at the point where, I want my money back, and won’t ever be buying anything from these clowns again where I don’t see a mind staggering amount of the most spectacular & amazing reviews from gamers.
Years of good times with the X series now soured, all faith in these guys now destroyed. How can I get my money back?

While I feel similarly except the money back part; However, given the debacle that Wk1 of release has become I believe that Egosoft deserve to offer the community a decent sized proverbial bone as a form of remittance (e.g. otherwise paid for additional content for free).
Software development is not an exact science but there are best practices that ensure software quality and Egosoft appear to be not adhering to them.
This is basically another thread along the same lines as this one... I think.
