Ai trade ships are not trading?

It would appear that trade ships are not trading with me nor with the Ai stations, prices of all goods have dropped, has anyone else noticed this today?

I cant even stock my stations with supplys because the ai ships are in the way lol. Cant leave area either to see if that helps wow liked it before where I just waited for the ai to supply everything in need for my stations.

On every station, almost every trade "point" has a trade ship docked that does nothing.
And on top of each station there is a formation I can only describe as "stack" of trade ships, propably in a queue or default spawn place, completely unmoving.

atm I don't really care, because I don't even have a proper freighter yet, but I sincerely hope it'll be fixed without requiring a new game.

Same experience here.
During my freighter hunt for metal plantings needed for the plot, ive noticed that cargo of freighters didnt change at all during game interval of 3 hours. I dont believe any trading is actually happening right now.

Ive fixed it, well kinda. If you make a copy of any saves you want to keep, then delete the egosoft folder in c:user/mydocuments it fixes it. well it did for me when i started a new game. not sure about old saves though if someone wants to try it. Good Luck

I just want to report that I am suffering from the same problem. AI traders are stuck in front of stations with no cargo drones coming in or out. My own trade ship, the Rahana, suffer the same problem. uidata.xml has several records indicating failure of playertrade. :(

As has been reported many times previously by others, my trade ship shows a lot of drones in use (20 out of 50), but nothing is happening. :(

This is getting more than a little annoying and is breaking the game for me. I can live with with the clunky user interface, although it takes way too many clicks to get to the relevant screen. Some buttons are placed in strange places and not where you would expect them. The new cancel trades button should have been available right at the first trade screen. However, at least I can cancel trades now. The user interface is poor, but workable. The stuck trade ships I can do nothing about. :headbang:

I hope this bug is high on the priority list.

The circumstances that made Egosoft release this product in such a buggy state I can only guess at, and that I will refrain from. Suffice to say I am extremely disappointed. Although I am used to buggy Egosoft releases, none have been as bad as this. :rant:

Despite that I have been enjoying the game, until meeting showstopper bugs. For this reason and the one a day pace of patch releases I am optimistic that this will eventually be a nice product. Please prove me right.

I have tried. It unfortunately does not work for me. But thanks for the tip.

It may very well be. I have noticed that after a while launching drones from the skunk does not work either. URVs at least. It may be that they also are tagged as in use already.

perhaps, cuz all freighters has stuck with at least 2 drones in use...

uhmm, i notice too that fighters are colliding with stations more often and killing a few blue ships around it as well and if you help them you get some rep up lol

ooooh, I was wondering how drones work, because they never appeared around me.

The traders around my game have no drones in use. The error message displayed in the uidata folder says property lookup failed/component does not exist anymore/reason code 32. Deleting that uidata causes new traders to come I think the ones stuck there move a bit then re-shuffle back to there seat and wait.

I made the ship leave my squad and then rejoin it. That worked, at least for my own ship. It did not work before, so maybe it is the patch today.

My cargo ship goes into dock. doors shut. "ready to take on wares". doors open. Cargo ship comes out. No trade made.

How did they release this game? seriously? it's like no one played it at all, they just put a 60$ price tag on it and sent it out. I've never seen a single player game with such a terrible launch.
