[BUG] Boarding Pods Pathing near stations

When launching pods for boarding close to a station, some of the pods will not find the proper path to the target cap ship and instead fly around the station for a significant amount of time. (currently 10min+, still not getting closer to the destination)

I was trying to stop a cap ship from blocking the trading port as it seems stuck there without doing anything.

that's a nice idea :)

maybe you could just go for some nasty drones and kill this ship ...

Did the capture still works if you leave the sector ? as the system will go in a more basic movement calculation

Not the only troubles now for boarding. Was trying just now to board an energy freighter near a plutach station it was in que, meaning in line but some distance away. Started the boarding thing, took out the engines jump and all turrets even without them asking. Then one docked...one..the rest flew madly around the ship for a long time, my message was..'protect pods' there was 1 fighter a patrol fighter from the base came out scout...indestructible..hit it with 3 missiles dead on and plasma cannon as it ran in less than 1 km away, never moved the shields, even with the missiles saw them all hit. Then he left, got bored I guess the marines dock all of them I get message 'maybe we can help shoot this' its an engine which had repaired itself already did that..immediately there's a message...'oh we lost all our marines'...this has happened 3 times tried different scenarios, even killing all the turrets on the ship first, but you cant do that...if the boarding isnt officially started your not allowed to do it manually. You can shoot everything needed take the rep loss, and the ship becomes impossible to target, no boarding now...

There is apparently more than 1 issue for you KRM398.
The invulnerability is something I have experienced earlier, restarting the game would fix it. No damage could be done to any ship, including my own.

The reason why you immediately get the message that your boarding attempt failed usually is caused by a much too low combat rating for your boarding crew. I have failed 10 times in a row, trying to board different ships of various sizes. What finally fixed it was getting a better marine officer and more marines.

There was a post somewhere on the forums where it described the boarding calculation in detail.
The most important factor are the skill points your officer has in his main abilities (shown in bold when asking for skills).
The calculation was something like OfficerSkill*SUM(marineskills)
Where the basic marines each are worth 1, the more advanced 2 and the elite 3. Get 50 marines and a good officer and you should be able to capture most ships.

The problem with pods never reaching the ship happened to me when a ship still had running engines during my boarding attempt. But I only had that once.
