newb problem cant dock on intro mission

I am on the intro mission and it tells me to dock. I double click on the station dock icon (blue wrench in a yellow circle) and get no dock choice. I do get the yellow objective bar that says DOCK. I looked for a short cut key in settings and see none.

Am I really this blind or is it a problem?

that sounds weird to me, normally the dock icon is not yellow, i could be wrong tho for a mission marker. I dont use a mouse but i push the menu interaction button and then hold it and then move my joystick over to dock and then let go of the button. I actually hope they change this for joystick users,

When you left click on the wrench it should become a little more solid, you have to be about 1km away or closer. You can also press the F key if double left click is being a bit dodgy for you.
