Game running as 32 bit???

Post by lrdkar »

Hello,

I had a game crash and when I opened up it my task manager to close it, it said my game was running in the 32-bit configuration. Is this a Steam installation issue or did I do something wrong with the installation?

My Steam is in my Programs(86) file so one would figure that it would run as a 64-bit.

Here is my dsx info to top it off as well:

It's a 32-bit application. It only requires a 64-bit version of Windows for memory reasons. Where Steam is installed is of no particular relevance to this.

Thank you just thought that might have been an issue, and was not sure.

While we're on the topic, where is the 64bit executable? I ask because I know the memory roofs of even LAA 32bit and I also know that Rebirth is already maxing out its available memory mapping on my system.

Very commonly I'm seeing Rebirth sitting on 1.6GB of system memory and 2.3GB of video memory, if it was a 64bit executable it'd be free to grow into much more as required but right now its hugging the top and I'm betting that's a prime contributor to my machine's performance woes when playing the game.
