Best settings for Geforce Cards -600 & 700 series?

Post by Thurmonator »

Anyone really happy with their settings? Would love to hear what your setup is.

I've got an i5-2400 with 16 gb ram. Gefiorce 770 w triple monitors at 5760 x 1080.

I'm running at 4x AA with 8x AS (through the custom profile in the control panel for the exe)
Vsync is on
LOD, View, and Effects are at 100

Its pretty good but not great. Before I go and try to tweak every setting , I'm curious if there is a consensus out there already as to the best settings...

Also, what is up with Anisotropic filtering no being able to be set in the game. Does it have a big effect on performance?

Thanks.

It kinda works at 1080p for me with i7-3770k and 760. What I hate, that AA isn't working. I see a lot of rough edges.

The settings that makes the largest difference for me (GTX 680) are the following:

1) AA 2x - i.e. set it to 2x rather than 0x and FPS is BETTER.
2) SSAO - OFF, give's about +10-15%
3) View Distance slider at 10 gives +10-20% FPS *

* Note: something is broken with this slider. I stepped down from 100 to 0 testing this slider, and the ONLY value that makes any difference at all to FPS is setting it to 10 or 0 - there is NO difference between 10 and 0.

Game still looks fine like this, though you do get a bit more "pop" travelling on highways. Once you're in-Zone, changing the setting seems to make no difference to visuals that I can notice.

I'm playing GTX660 Ti 1080p everything on full except AA which is set to x4 on a core i5 3570

no issues. I may drop the AA and perhaps shadows if things get a bit choppy later

Sometimes I do find the game really slows after I've been playing a while but a save and restart usually cures that so I suspect a memory leak somewhere rather than actual performance issues.
