[bug] mouse curser disappearing - Fixed by verifying gamefiles cache.

since v1.15 i got the problem that when i load a game

Same problem here since 1.15.

No cursor at all. I had never plugged my xbox controller when playing Rebirth.

I tried plugging it in, playing around with it for a while, then disconnecting it but the cursor didn't come back.

Are all of these issues only apparent after loading a save? By that I mean whether the mouse works in the game start screens and for load/continue but stops after the save is complete.

I get this issue after 1.15 too. I have no mouse cursor anywhere. Not in the main menu, not in game. Tried restarting game and computer several times. Mouse cursor is not showing. However there definately is a mouse x,y coordinate, since I can test the position by pressing space to steer ship with mouse and when shooting lasers, and it is apparent that the 'cursor' is actually there, it's just no being shown or drawn. In fact it's like the mouse is just missing it's cursor sprite

After 1.16 my mouse cursor is stil PERMANENTLY missing. What can I do?? It's very annoying since it's hard to hit enemies without a cursor

That doesn't help at all. The only thing plugged into my computer is my usb-mouse, my usb-wifi keyboard, my RJ45 internet-cable, my lcd screen, my powercord and my headset. Unplugging both my headset and my usb-mouse, or my usb-wifi keybord, makes no difference. Mouse cursor still missing. Why does this happen?

Right, I fixed the issue with missing mouse cursor. Since the problem didn't go away, I tried to "verify integrity of game cache" in Steam for Rebirth, and 5 files could not be verified and was reacquired. Now the mouse cursor is back! Perhaps some files got corrupt during the numerous crashes I have had and one of those files had something to do with displaying the cursor.

That gamefiles cache verification is always the first thing you should do with a Steam game before reporting a bug.
