[SOLVED] Bugged saved game (Can't Move/No UI)

This only happens on this specific Saved Game, so the problem is isolated, I just have no idea how to fix it.....

Clearly a game-breaking bug because I can't even move. or take control of anything, it just sits there unresponsive but I can press ESC and reload or something, but no crash or anything.

I could reproduce the bug when I was saving too quickly upon entering the cockpit. The UI was not fully loaded at this point. It seems this state is transferred to the save file.
Not a solution but an advice: wait for the UI to be fully loaded before saving the game.

I am still trying to find the relevant and missing parts in the save file.

Thanks for the feedback, all I was doing when i saved this time was flying around using my long range scanner. It got late so I quicksaved AND when into the menu and manually saved. Loading up the next day is what resulted in the save filed in my post.

Alright so WOW i found a solution.

This will fix anyone's saved game that is bugged to the point where they can't move, fly, or access their game/main menu. Symptoms like no UI showing up, the only thing that works is the ESC/Pause menu, and only your mouse is responsive.

1.) open your save file in a text editor

2.) ctrl + f to find the <state hud="0" /> line

3.) delete that line or change it to hud="1"

4.) save the file, load up your game...

You'll notice that the UI for the ship targeting works now! but you still can't move....

well, this change also allows you to bring up the main game menu. just hit main menu and choose option 5(crew) this will send you to the crew quarters of the ship and you can move around on foot, as soon as you return to the cockpit everything will be back to normal! OMG

pay attention to the chair in the cockpit. if it doesn't turn around as you take seat, the ui is bugged. get out of the cockpit, get back in, pay attention to the chair. if it still isn't moving, get out of the cockpit, get back in. that's pretty much it.

You can tell before even getting to the chair, the door at the top of the stairs doesn't open and you walk through it. I get it about 50% of the time leaving the station - both jumping back and running back to press the control button does it.
