Shiplanes - FIXED
If your ship is stuck on construction 0% and won't continue no matter what you do just open your save in Notepad++ ( or something similar) and do the following:
search for
connection="dock" state="construction" owner="player"
if you don't find that use
connection="dock" state="construction"
and look at the ship name.
Then just replace "construction" with "complete" ( it should look like this then
connection="dock" state="complete" owner="player" )
and tada you are done just replace your old save and load the game your finished ships should now sit in the dock and await a pilot, sadly i have no clue how it would normally get one.

Hmmm this is not problem fixing. This is simple cheating.
While you have opened XML editor you can add some money into player credit ballance too - for example 10% of USA debts and viola - you are multi-billionare, you can buy The whole universe now - so ultimate end goal is finished in 5 seconds.
Seriously it will be better to wait few weeks till developers fix root cause of this. Try something else instead of buggy X:R.

Guys, im having a similar problem. I have a energy Rahanas stuck at a station, the thing is, the ship is complete but there is no captain inside, so i can't order it out of the shipyard. If i try to dock with it the game crashes and return me to the desktop.
How can i find this ship on the save file and remove it or add a captain to it?
I haven't found any other capital shipyard in duvries and albion isnt friendly with at this moment in the campaign.

Does anyone know a ch- I mean work around for repairing ships I boarded that now have broken engines and won't repair? That's broken too.

I got all excited that you found the workaround I needed for this problem only to find it causes another problem. Upon investigating the ship loading the save, it shows an unfinished skeleton of what is a completed ship according to my nav hud, but there is no functionality and no docking port to enter since after all.... its a see through ghost ship. Any idea on a proper way to bypass construction and spawn the ship?

There is another thread in the Modding forum that explains how to modify the save file by changing the resource requirements for the ship you are building.
The result is that the shipyard still goes through the building process (i.e. it takes time), so hopefully that will resolve any issues with ships looking like skeletons.
I don't know if it has any impact on the 'missing Captain' problem.

A ships pilot will tell the player when they don't have enough fuel, the shipyard should tell him when they don't have enough parts.

than using editing savegame file transfer build drones there.
in ships description it looks like

sorry I can see that most of you did not understand what I'm trying so say. I probably did not said it clearly - English in not my natural language.
I wanted to point to OP's topics name "Shiplanes - FIXED".
You did not fixed that bug. You found a workaround (good for you and others). But it is not a fix.
Fix it will be if developers fixed in the code that it never happens again in the game.
Or if you fixed some XML script and put new version in Modders forum.
You found workaround that will works once, but after some time you will be forced to do it again (savegame editing) and again.
Because there are too many bugs in game and AI scripts.
By other words what it the point to play game that is too buggy and thus unplayable? You will spend at least half of "playing" by editing your samegame files, Google what exactly you should edit and change, and only part of time in real game.
That is what I tried to say.
IMHO it is better to forget that this game was released, in your head move release date to 15.5.2014 and at that time try to play it again.
