Built a new freighter. Wanted to dock to transfer crew to it. Every time I dock I get:
A fatal error has occurred and X cannot recover:
Missing template connection in component
'props_surf_ar_docks_size_xl_inv_macro'
version 1.13 - Code revision: 178895M
Please inform Egosoft technical support.
Is this normal?

it effects every new ship since patch 1.13 ?CBJ wrote:We've been able to reproduce this problem and are working on a solution.
can you make a priority
fixing the AI so ships will actually help you in fights.
fix the sation manager so he will properly manage ships and they won't end up bugged trading or whatever.
the whole station management UI being in [enter 2-2] on the DE tab on the station is a horrible mess.
why do you have to go into the managers "desc" to find the settings where you give him a budget etc, also there is barely any settings at all.
how come npc traders won't trade with construction vessels?
why do construction vessels seem to bug so much and fly off to a different system "trading with nil" when you told them to build an extension ? are they supposed to be finding resources and end up bugged?
see a running theme here? all the AI for everything seems buggy as hell and is causing the game to be a broken mess.
if stuff worked it wouldn't be so bad but right now playing the game is like having a fight with your self and knowing it's impossible to win

same problem, not all ships, i built an Arawn, Balar and Scaldis, and they were all fine, all with captains, but when ever i tried building a Construction ship or Taranis they bother had no captains, just sat there in the construction area, and when i tried docking, the game crashes. Not tried other ships, but i imagine some will work, and some wont

Fatal Error, docking on a newly built ship which won't leave the shipyard
As I run during the Free Play mode and gain the credits needed to do stuff, I order the construction of a Rahanas (Energy) ship and wait. Everything goes well here and it's eventually finished, getting the "it's finished" message and all. But when I approach the ship it won't leave the shipyard, nor does it have any captain on board which means I can't hail it either. No luck either if I try to check my ship list and contact it through there since it's captainless. Naturally I try to dock on it in order to deposit my own captain, but as soon as I give the "dock" order the game immediately crashes, showing the following Fatal Error message (which I hope I'm spelling correctly):
A fatal error has occured and X cannot recover:
Missing template connection in component 'props_surf_ar_docks_size_l_inv_macro'
Version 1.14 - Code revision 178922M
This happens every time I try to dock on my ship, and interestingly the same thing has happened to an NPC ship on the neighboring shipyard, where a Light Sul is stuck in the same manner, with the same error message if I try to dock in it as well. Of course this both prevents you from retrieving your ship as well as any attempts to make new ones. Interesting fact I could still make a Construction Vessel in an adjacent shipyard despite the Rahanas and Light Sul being locked in place. Another interesting fact there's already been several ships built on both shipyards before this occured, although I'm not sure exactly when this happened. Both has been there for about an hour or so, blocking everyone and everything. The game is still fully playable despite this though.
I'm at the shipyards in Ascendancy, Shady Vault. I've yet checked any other shipyard besides this sector to see if they're bugged as well, but I think I might try to check them out and see if I can build any new ships there instead. Could also mention I've played 10+ hours so far if that might have anything to do with it, and that I've sold lots of captured enemy capital ships on the stations as well.
I'm not running any scripts.
Some technical information on my computer:
Windows 7
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
NVIDIA Ge Force GTX 560 Ti, 4047 MB
8192 MB RAM
Realtek High Definition Audio
Game Version 1.14 (though it happened in 1.13 as well)
I could provide a DxDiag as well, though unsure if I should put it here for everyone to see or if I could PM it to a dev or someone.
EDIT: Oops, there's more threads with this error message, didn't notice it at first. Apologies for making another topic with it.
