Trading Ship Bug

Ive gone through 3 freighters now and this is really starting to piss me off, I actually went and followed and watched it this time.

Ok so first problem: The trader loaded up the goods i ordered it to. It moved away from the station but then got shot at by PMC. I sat there and watched it get shot for a while and nothing. The freighter has a defence dude on board, its fully kitted out with weapons and even has 20 interceptor drones. Still nothing it just sat there. I then watched this 1 enemy fighter shoot and destroy 2 weapon hardpoints, still nothing. It got to 95% hull and i got fed up and destroyed the fighter.

Second problem: I then go to order my freighter to sell the goods it just picked up and noticed it still had 1 Order waiting to be completed? No idea what that order is seeing as it had already picked up the goods. So i do the save game edit and delete the order. I then order it to sell the goods and it doesnt move. It just sits there again right next to a highway.

The ship has a Captain and a Defence Officer.

Maybe defending is not enough. Go to the ship details and select the defense officer. Click 4 for details, change is behviour from "Defending" to "Attacking Enemies". I'm not a fan of this setting on freighters as it can bring them into serious trouble, but better then play sitting duck right?

BTW: Did you notice that your freighter has no active shields? It might have the shield generators, but no shields. Even the slightest shot scratches the hull. And it's quite expensive to repair it in the dock.

I wasnt aware there was even an option to change them from defending to attacking, thanks ill try it out but still doesnt fix the fact that even defending should atleast defend

Yes amazing right. I stumbled over some of these "detail" settings while investigating an issue. Other personal have these "settings" dialogs as well. Station manager for example are given money by this and you set his range of actions and so one.

1) Please more of these settings
2) More details settings, e.g. I want to say my miner to mine only this system
3) Maybe you should mention this in some kind of tutoriol or manual
