Why no answers about corrupt saves?

I have seen many, many reports about the saves going bad, including one of my own, but have yet to see any theories or responses. Have I missed that somewhere or does Ego not have a clue yet as to the cause or possible solution?

As with the other most important problems, we are working on it. The savegames I mean, not the faces.

Only 10 save slots is a crippling problem now. Since I save every couple of minutes (in case of crashes and corruptions), I'm constantly having to overwrite my saves. Meaning I can't rollback very far.

I know I've already put a post up asking if its possible to increase the number of save slots, as i picked up a bug without knowing it, have got all the way yo the hacking mission and even though i can find and buy trojan drones they disappear from the merchant and do not show in my storage, but my money is gone.

And here's the post that was the reason why i was asking for more. As far as i was aware there were no devs on today(sunday) so I was going to bump the post one more time to give people a chance to look at it and maybe respond then let it disappear. Unfortunately just editing a post doesnt move it back up to the top where it can be seen. I would have prefered to edit it rather than do fresh posts, but it was on page 5 when i put the 2nd post on it, and page 4 when i put the 3rd one on.

If the Devs can resolve the savegame corruption issues will that come out as a hotfix on its own to help sort this or would it be included with som other fixes? I know theres no point in asking if it would resolve corrupted / bugged saves, as they need to find whats causing it before they can fix it.

You can use backup software, it will store old versions of your saves.
I actually use SugarSync, it keeps 5 old versions (plus current version) of save game files.
That way if my HDD crashes (sadly happened a few times in my life), or Steam decides to f**k up my save file with his cloud, I still have my file saved online.
Saved me more than once...

I am getting tired of the many times my game play got disturbed by unexpected crashes. Till now I got back in and load a game save, except the quick save that is corrupted on load only. (100%, *bonck* dump file

)

Now I got a crash on landing and just leaving the ship and after that I cant load any recent game saves any more. I lowered settings and closed off all none-essentials, but it doesn't help.

So I am stuck now with a game I cant play at this time.

Please open a cloud site where I can dump all my dump files. Not clear how I should or can forward them at this stage.
