The one thing that would make X Rebirth a great game

X Rebirth is a sad story. After I have been following the X Series since Beyond the Frontier I was more than eager to get my hands on the new game.

After 25h of playing (<10h of "effective" gameplay without restarting, fixing bugs and trying to resolve AI bugs) I found one thing that would make this thing work for me.

I dont care about the low framerates, broken savegames, sudden invulnerabilities, ... they can be endured.
The thing I am missing is a tiny, little thing that apparently nobody at Egosoft thought about:

TELLING SHIPS TO STOP FOLLOWING ME.

After I got my fleet back two ships immediately died because they were following me everywhere. I spent about 8h of gameplay trying to get ships back that were lost in horribly far away sectors trying to follow me while I am doing my campaign missions.
My small cargo ship was killed within 5mins by enemies, Taranis is forever stuck without moving or showing any indication of changing behavior. Same thing happened about 10x to Rahanas, the energy trade cap ship. I always made the effort to fly back and get Rahanas to survive enemies, babysit it to a station etc. I even did this: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=348622 half a dozen times to resolve trading issues.
The one thing that seems to break everything is the neverending wish of all my ships (in my squad or not) to follow me around while I dive into generic missions or rush into a huge battle during the story line.
What the **** egosoft?

I love your game. And I began modifying my save games to relocate my ships, fix the trading bugs, restore the health they lost in far away sectors (without notifying me of attackers or their soon following death). I am willing to do anything, probably will get into modding just to fix this impossible to understand lack of BASIC commands. I only have to tell them FLY THERE AND STOP.

Dear Egosoft, I will continue playing your games. But the next time you pull this kind of crap, do it smart:
Tell us we are buying access to a closed beta. We all would be expecting lots of issues and we would help resolving them without being mad for releasing something half-done. Your fans will gladly endure the beta, but don't bullsh*t them by saying this is a working release.
