doesn't make any sense. It was a suggestion that I was trying to open up to new readers to help them. Burying it in the joystick/controller thread won't help anyone.

2nd, I think phpbb has the capability to send an automatic notification that thread combining has been done. I was confused about the display for a while before I figured it out.

The devs are trying to work through bug reports and having them scattered in dozens of posts on the same topic across 10 forum pages does not help. When a workaround is identified, it will be Stickied in the Q & A thread.

As to the lack of notification on merging, that was my fault. I thought I was merging with shadow thread left behind as default. In fact the default is not to. My error and not Egosoft's.
