Mission problem. The Rescue
I've picked up the two people in space suits (they're visible "landed ships" list) but when I dock at the destination station nothing happens

What are you flying? Could be an issue with placement since I agree with the others in that 'Landed Ships' seems all wrong. They should show up under freight in the 'People' subsection.
Perhaps try undocking and ejecting them from your ship, im not certain whether that option even exists...but worth a try. If you can get them back into space then scoop them up again in a ship with no hangers. Should stop them being 'landed ships' if your craft cant house other ships.
One last thing to check. Are you piloting the ship in question yourself? I assume so since you mention autosaves triggering. You absolutely should be personaly in any ship involved in missioning work since many handins/turnovers dont work remotely

You were flying a TM, and they docked to it instead of you running over them?
I have a feeling that the only thing that will make them undock is for you to self destruct the ship... and pick them up in a TP or a fighter with a cargo life support extension.
Could be worse, they could have docked at a Station....

Yes, was using a TM...
If I'd not made 2.5m credits in the second or third terran mission* then throwing away 500k on a ship would be somewhat frustrating.
*the one where you have to follow the Nova that jumps out if you get too close and you're told not to attack anything - turns out you can attack the Xenon L's and I captured a dozen sold 10 and kept two for later.

It's glitched, then... You'll either have to find a way to get them to undock (and I can't really think of a way to do it) or restart the mission from a previous save. The game should have autosaved every time you docked. Game has 3 auto save slots for that (so, once you dock 3 times the good save will be gone). Or...start all over again.
What I do for that mission is have a normal TP or a fighter with a life support follow me, and then I jump over to the other ship to gather them up. I've never tried it in a TM, so don't know what happened there.
That mission has always been a problem. Mainly due to docking a TS for that mission and having no cargo life support on it to gather the two pilots. (you'd think they'd have them for sale on that station because of that mission). The result was usually that the 2 pilots would dock to a station, due to leaving the mission for a few hours, before figuring out that you needed a cargo life support system to gather them up. Only to find that they've docked to a station, because you took too long.
It's possible that there is a script safety net for losing the pilots.... One way to make the pilots disappear is to sell the TM to a ship yard... Could be that once you do they will spawn in space around you, or maybe back in the original sector? The only reason I say this is because of: http://www.egosoft.com/support/faq/faq_ ... 3a2e068397

To conclude I re-loaded ...
In the run-up to getting back to where I was I had to get through the first mission of the Final Fury plot, and this time a Xenon Q was in the sector *sigh* so this took a LOT of retrying over and over. But I did get to see a head on crash between a Xenon Q and an Argon Minotaur (resulting in an explosion which was worth seeing) and then I was able to finish off the Q with a Police License under my belt. So that was nice.
So finished that off, then started catching up - head to Nathan's Voyage to meet up with whats-her-name and head to Grand Exchange - oh... a Xenon invasion... attacking the station I'm meant to fly to. *sigh*
After 20 minutes of trying to lure a dozen Xenon fighters and a P away, without getting blown to bits in a split second in my blastclaw which can only just outrun the Xenon who fire a missile which I've not identified but manages a one-hit-kill
I finally get to start the mission that preceeds the mission I was doing.
That goes swimmingly.
Go back. Buy TM ship again (yes... but I had a plan) put the blast claw in the TM, transfer the jump drive and buy a cargo bay life support.
Jump to M148 and transfer the jump drive to the blast claw and order it to dock at the station. Land, swap ships and collect astronuts.
Hurrah! it worked!
Onwards to the next bug

I've found that about 4 (8 is better) Electric Chainbolt Cannons will allow you to kill Q's pretty quickly. They're great for getting past it's shield regen, because the guns use up almost no laser energy when firing. Otherwise you're just racing your laser energy regen rates with it's shield regen rates, which draws out the fight way to long, or makes the fight impossible in anything smaller than a M6.

You know you don't have to do that. The rescue mission in the Terran plot allows you a one-time access to M-148 after you do the favor for the Teladi.Myranda wrote:To conclude I re-loaded ...
