X3:TC not recognizing GTX 780M - Sorted in Nvidia Control Panel

I just got a new laptop with the godly GTX 780M, so I finally got X3 installed again and I went into Graphics Settings to set everything to maximum and it's only recognizing my chipset graphics.

I haven't launched it to see how it'll perform utilizing that yet, but I suspect the answer is very poorly. Any suggestions?

Edit: Tested it out with the chipset graphics. It doesn't run too bad but I'm not sure how it'll fare in crowded systems or in big firefights.

Come on guys, seriously? I know it's because my card is too new and the game doesn't recognize it, but am I just boned? Is there nothing I can do?

Hi, firstly please don't bump threads. We will answer when we can without having to be pushed!

Now as I see it, you are asking the game to set up your laptop for you. It doesn't work that way. You tell your laptop how to run the game.

The way it is supposed to work is that the laptop sees high graphic demand that taxes the onboard chipset and switches to the off-board card. For all we know, it might even be doing that. That said, X3TC is demanding of the cpu rather than the gpu at most times.

You need to check your system manual or look online as to how to tell your laptop to use a particular graphics system for particular exes. It may be in BIOS, in a utility program on your support disk or possibly in Win8 - but then you didn't give any of the system info we ask for, so I am guessing.
