Ok, I saw the video of X-Rebirth, and was vaguely aware of it, but since then I've been on the forums discussing the game.

its given me a yearning to play X3 again, I can't be bothered to go through the whole thing again, So I'm missing out X3:AP, and want to restore my old save file from TC. I've had a new laptop since then, I did copy all my game data before I changed computer, I just want to know how I restore my save data to the new game, I also modded a my HQ and would like to know what I have got to do to get my old game working again.

Make sure your new installation is the same version as your previous installation or more recent, and install exactly the same mod(s) you were using before. That should be sufficient.
