Cant save games - Resolved by renaming x99.sav

Post by tvc15 »

I have X3TC Aldrin Missions ver 2.0, installed from DVD, updated to ver 3.2. I'm running Win 7 64 bit. For days I have been trying to play, but the game wont save. I have searched this forum and the web, cant find a solution. X99.sav appears in saved games folder, as does corrupt saves, I have deleted these, rebooted PC, run registry cleaner, game still refuses to save. What is going on, its a clean install, no mods, capable system, can someone please help :(

Point taken. This has been a difficult game to get off the ground, the Tage saga is a complete wind up. Got frustrated and did'nt look far back enough in the support pages. I resolved the issue using your fix, http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=337222 , renaming x99.sav to x0n.sav.
The game now saves automatically in stations, plus manually. Did not need to run as Administrator or in XP compatibility mode.
Thanks for your help
