(TC) Code Breaking quest broken ??

I have passed the tests set for me but the password is not being excepted by the mainframe. I am typing in :
USCWintersalpha_omegaUSCMarteen_earth_plus.omega

but it is not being accepted... can anyone tell me if I have the password wrong please ?

I made the mistake of leaving the sector. If you leave the sector, you still get to do all the code breaking but it will never accept the final code.

OK I have saved my game just before i have to put in the password for the mainframe.

I have typed in :
USCWintersalpha_omegaUSCMarteen_earth_plus.omega

which is what was highlighted in the messages. What am I missing as the mainframe is not accepting this string ? PLease help if you are able too.

Thanks for the link, I already know the code, but for some unknown reason it isn't being accepted... I was wondering if I had missed anything out or misspelled what I had to type in. I am playing a vanilla game with the bonus pack.

No its just as i typed it no space at the beginning or the end, I have 4 attempts left on my current save (after several reloads from when I met #efaa)...does anything need to be placed between omega and USCMarteen ?
For example :;~# ?

Another bug here, particularly in non-English language versions, is that the correct password sometimes does not compute correctly for a reason not presently determined. Check that you've got it correct, as X does not take kindly to double letters in input strings so you might be missing the odd letter.

As far as I can see,you have the correct code. Hopefully,if it just the bug,you have an earlier save ?

I do have an English copy of the game so I don't think that bug applies to my game.

The last pre quest save i have is the station i was docked at before i started using the UFJD to look for #efaa. (Thats also about 15000 chips less as well

)

I have tryed several times to to type in the Password for the mainframe on the Xenon ship mission of the plot: A new home.
Please see previous thread http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=339925
I logged in to a previous save before I went in search of #efaa, and still get stonewalled when I put in the password. I am running a vanilla game with the bonus pack. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Another issue I had was the double "E". For some reasons X3 pauses if you try to type the same character twice. Make sure you are getting two "E"s in the Marteen part of the password.

oops !

Well that post I found did not rule out English editions suffereing,but I had no problem when I did it.

I can only leave this open for others to look at.

The most i can do now is perhaps load your save and see if I can enter it for you.
No guarentees mind.

The only other alternative is to go modded with "All plots Financial" which allows you to pay for the completion of plots , once started.

Best you upload a save somewhere and post the link here. Then someone else can try to enter the password for you.

I hate how the game does this. I rename all my capital ships and factories, it's especially a pain when setting up multiple cahoona bakeries.

Me too, recently I've gone out of my way to avoid having to type anything with a double letter in it.

"Cahoona Bakery L" becomes "Bakery L" instead of "Cahoona L" for example.
