I am following the Beryl Shady Business Plot and have what appears to be a bug.

I got the message to talk to Jerigan Springer in Elysium of Light.
I was informed that I had to get a very high reputation with the Terrans and the Argon, I was already a Hero for the Argon.
So that left the Terrans, then I was told in a message to talk to the Terran Ambassador in Black Hole Sun.
I did that and was told to dock at the military outpost with a tl and pick up the Argon Ambassador.
At this point my missions showed :-
1. Talk to springer.... Done that but it is still showing.
2. Dock at military outpost to collect the ambassador.
3. Get better rank with terrans.
So I called in my TL, transferred into it and docked.
The ambassador boards.
So what am I supposed to do with the Ambassador?
How do I get a better rank with the terrans?
If I change back to my Griffon to do something else such as kill some enemies of the terrans I am given a message to pick up the Ambassador!
How may of them do they want me to pick up?
If I transfer to my tl the message goes away...
I think the mission has gotten a problem so what can I do next please.
