[AP] Plots not working for Bankrupt Assassin? (possible spoiler alert)

This is the first time I've played using the BA start, but it seems to me as if I just have a normal X universe with no plots. I am using completely vanilla with only the bonus package installed (All-in-one .exe). I only started this game after the 3.0 update.

From what I gathered by reading some of the spoilered walkthroughs, I just have to get to a certain rank with Argon and I've reached the highest rank possible with them and still nothing happens when I enter the sector where the AP plot is supposed to start.

Besides rank with Argon, is there something else I'm supposed to do?

I had started the game and went up into the terran sectors and got good reputation with them, and have since only killed very few on normal missions, never engaging in the battles. A theory I have is that I have to kill a certain amount of terrans before the plot will engage. I just didn't want to completely destroy my reputation if I don't have to.

Basically I haven't found anything in AP except the normal missions.

For the Albion Prelude Plot to start your Terran rank must not be higher as rank 0 (Citizen).
