X3AP 3.0 Breaking Grounds missing asteroid [Spoilers]

When I go to Heretics end there are no asteroids anywhere. I even looked at Roguey's walkthrough and went to his co-ordinates, but to no avail. Do I have to start a new game to do the Breaking Grounds mission? I'm playing completely Vanilla by the way.

The location maybe random.
Mine was left (west) from south gate, about 80 km.

Just to make sure, you did talk to the Teladi in Freedom's Reach about the note before looking for the asteroid?

Thanks zidder, mine was that way too. It's hard to find by sight when you have to get relatively close for it to actually appear :D

Not got there in vanilla yet, but when beta testing it was fairly visible .
Just go in via south gate and it was 45 degrees to the left...aprox west of centre.
