Game Freezes using the X3 AP Bonus - Known Hephaistos issue with workaround.

Hi, ive just upgraded my computer yesterday and im starting AP again. Ive DL all the latest drivers etc i think but im having issues.

Ive installed the bonus pack but when ever i try to use the factory building thing when ever i click to open the message the game freezes and stops responding.

At first i thought it was steam because it has a habit of losing a file every now and then (no idea why) so i verified game files and found it was missing a file, so i DL it and started again. Same thing happened. I checked steam again but this time no files were missing. Ill post my diag thing here so you can see it, after installing the new MOBO, CPU and RAM yesterday i did a complete reinstall of windows and had all the drivers updated but im having issues still.

I cannot see anything wrong in the DxDiag and the error messages do not help much in this case. Since your issue is only with the BP, and the files of that are not checked by a verify, then why not try uninstalling the X3AP BP and then reinstall it into the addon folder after a fresh download. That will at least eliminate BP file corruption. Good luck.

Have tried Uninstall and reinstalling the bonus pack, it doesnt change anything. It happens as soon as i click OK. Could it be because of how im using it? I have just started the Terran Commander start, gone to Mars bought an M5 and sold the katana i got fitted out the M5 and then undocked, moved away from station a bit and then used the station building thing. I press the hotkey select the flashy message icon and click ok then it freezes.

Do you have 1,000,000 Cr in your personal account and are you on good station-buying terms with any of the races? (Also I'm unsure if you have to have discovered (some of) their Shipyards first.) I am not a a user of that facility.

I have the 1mil credits, as for standings I have enough standings with terrans to buy a few of there stations including Water Fab L. I don't have any standings with any other races.
