[X3AP] Being attacked by some argon forces while friendly with them.

Post by zemik39 »

Hello all,

I am very sorry if its aswered here already, I was searching, but did not find anything.

So here is my story,

I started as terran commander,

Finished terran plot, got xenon hub, hq, some ships, some factories, UTs etc,

After some sleepless nights i finally managed to get friendly with argons (cuz they are controlling main part of universe, right?)

My rep rank is Argon Federation guardian,

Everything is working fine but...

When some of my traders get to "military zone" most of npc ships are blue,

but then 1 or 2 switches to red and starts attacking it (mosty argon heavy centaur),

it often blinks between blue and red multiple times and when I jump in to save my trader it turns blue in most cases and its over,

but when the trader is alone, he's dead.

This is happening in asteroid bet and jupiter in 99% of cases.

Is it bug or is it meant to work like it?

Thank you for your answers.
Enjoy your game

Working as intended I am afraid. See this thread. Call it simulating the collateral damage to civilians entering into or staying in war sectors unescorted. Moving to X-Universe (gameplay) forum.

Fully upgraded Springblossoms and Spitfyres can get through, check the link in my sig for more details.
Do you miss dangerous pirates?
Try leading the target a little more...

If you've got any "capped" Pirate or other "hostile" ships in your fleet, they may be the source of the problem. After a ship kills a ship or station, the mere presence of the ship itself eventually causes the local fleets to attack it or your other stuff in the sector. If it only damaged its target, apologizing to the local authorities AFTER you've claimed it will usually end any further hostilities, but with ships that have made "kills", I've had to sell the ship to stop my stuff from being attacked hours or even days later.

@ Honved: I don't think it is that problem this time. Both sectors the OP mentioned are X3AP War Sectors, so I would expect that OOS behaviour there as 'normal' for vanilla.

A fix around this would be to simply blacklist the Warsectors for your MK3 traders i am not sure if you need the Bonus Pack for that anymore, but as of now that is the only possibility.
