Hi all I am experiencing some major increases in my sector load times (Moving from sector to sector) after building lots of stations (Connecting then) and having CAG’s and UT’s doing my biddings.
I’m Running X3 Albion Prelude 2.5.3, 2012 (STEAM) *** Modified***
Please note that the loading times I am referring to are sectors all the sectors even the ones that do not have my complexes in it. My current loading times between a sector is around 36 seconds. My biggest complex has 192 factories (Loading time of that sector is 51) I’m ok with big loading times for sectors with these complexes but don’t know why they are so long with sectors that do not have these complexes
When I start a new game the loading times are around 5 seconds.
This is an increase of 31 seconds which is pretty much.
Really noticed my long sector loading times after I have added a 192 Station complex (Below are all my ships and complexes stated)
Is there any way to improve me sector load times (Again sectors without my complexes)
I’m running the following mods:
Bonus pack
Advanced Jumpdrive
Cheat Collection Package AP
Factory Complex Constructor (Using it to move stuff around)
Anarkis Defense System (ADS / ACC)
Complex Cleaner
IE immersive Environments 1.1
IEX1.4
jchud v1.2 (Hug/GUI mod)

I am afraid that we cannot really help you with an issue with a heavily modified game as we cannot know how those mods and scripts interact or interfere with vanilla game behaviour. What is the average size of your gamesaves and is save loading time excessive as well? Do you have any sector(s) (anywhere) that seem to be flooded with excessive queueing or idling/stalled ships?
From the DxDiag, all I really note is that you are using a Microsoft default generic driver for your RealTek onboard sound chipset. Getting a Win8 x64 driver from RealTek is recommended.

Hello, Thank you for your reply, I have updated my sound drivers to R2.71 (2013/4/8) Thank you for a tip since it’s always good to keep drivers updated
My save game loads in around 47 seconds.
Cheated some satellites in all sectors but could not find anything out of the ordinary every sector seemed fine. Only a few had quite a bit of traffic (not really alarming much) but they all seemed to fly normally from gate to gate.
My current save games are like 16MB (Ones from a month ago are like 10 ish) So there Is an increase of 6 MB don’t know if this is alarming. I did build allot of stations and ships.
PS is it ok I remove the DXDiag? or does it need to stay there? It clogs up the post and it seems to be fine since you have looked at it

Apart from what Alan has suggested and also reiterating that diagnosing non-vanilla issues are often fraught with complexity:
- Have you checked all your mods to ensure they are compatible with each other. The mod devs normally mention this in their release notes.
- Try disabling all powersaving features in Win8. In Win7 you can set your power scheme to high performance, so try this if it's there in Win8. Retest.
- Remove your USB soundcard/headphones and USB hard drive. Retest.
Other than that, I can only think your CPU (X3 is a single core application) is having a hard time processing the extra scripts (over and above the vanilla stuff) or with a conflict in a mod.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi,
Checked compatibility with other scripst, no mention that they could conflict. However Anarkis does have MARS Intergration so they complement eachother.
I have been messing around with my ships and station and mods. I have done the following:
Step 1:
Disabled all mu CAG’s
Disabled all my UT’s
Set command for all my ships to none
Destroyed all my factories/Complexes
Disabled Anarkis Carrier Commands on all my ships
Destroyed both my panter raiders (with docked ships) (42 ships in total)
Disabled Mars on all my ships (Mars was not enabled for other ships)
Disabled UI/HUD Mod, Complex Cleaner, Factory Complex Constructor, Ranking PY, Numeric Ranks
Reboot Command for Salvage Command Suite --> Uninstall Command after that
In Artificial Life menu set all options to No
All this shortened my sector load load time by 1 ish second.
Step 2: Change power plan to performance. (Rebooted game)
No difference
Step3: Disconnect my usb headset, harddrive, printer (Rebooted game)
No difference
Running out of idea's

Looking at your DXDIAG for the umpteenth time (this is also why it's important to keep it in the post for constant review):
Your onchip graphics (intel HD 4000) is still showing in your DXDIAG. I can only assume it is still registered / enabled. Disable it in your BIOS / Windows or both and retest.
Other than that the only other way to assist is to start a new / use an existing vanilla game and retest.

Hello,
Had to look on the internet on how to really disable the onboard chip and I managed to find to do so.
A guide can be found here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/366 ... d-graphics
Who would have thought you needed to put the “igpu multi monitor” option to false
Checked my dxdiag output and the 4000 chipset isn’t listed anymore.
Anyways no improvements on sector loading time.
Not really sure why this would decrease loading time though
Now I have tested some other things:
1: Start new game (Script manager set to vanilla) (4 seconds)
(All mods are enabled when testing 2,3)
2: Start new game (Script manager set to modified) (4 seconds)
3: Start new game (Script manager set to modified + Thereshallbewings) (4 seconds)
So i think it's safe to say that something went wrong in my safe game. But how can i know what is wrong?
Maybe It's waiting for something when loading? Because when the sector is loaded it's just working normally the only problem is the enormous loading time (To long for my taste since I like to jump around like crazy).
Anymore ideas ?
Is there any diagnostic tool I can run to see if a mod or anything in the game is the blame?
== EDIT ==
Updated DxDiag

You may get some value from this thread:
http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=3609774
My post about half way down the page has details about vanilla TC gate passing times greatly increasing as the number of factories in a complex goes past 100. But if you use Complex Cleaner as it was intended, you shouldn't run into trouble until the factory count goes above 1,000 or so. I've added over 5K factories to an AP complex using a modified version of Complex Cleaner (max FACT size 10x higher) and still enjoy decent loading and gate passing times.
As a test, try remaining in one sector for say three hours (SETA is okay) then retest gate times.
