X3TC to prelude

So i finished the X3TC game and got the HQ and money. I buy Prelude and it says i cant use my save games from X3TC. Is it possible to own an HQ and claim territory like I got by finishing X3TC? This was the best part of the game. I love the new graphics but I like being part of the political control aspects in X3TC. I want to stay vanilla and not use any plugins. Is this possible or am i screwed? Ive already finished the short plot in Albion and still have not found a way to buy an HQ or claim a territory.

Moving to X-Universe (gameplay) forum.

I suspect this may help. Op Loose Ends gives the Terran start pretty much the same (or better) rewards as the Argon starts.

indeed. When no one really knew what X was when i talked about space sims.. lol.. So one question. I started the Terran commander will that still open the HQ quest line when meeting the prereqs? Not sure how I would complete the Abion plot if im a Terran... I thought that was only an Argon plot line. Do i have to complete the Argon plot on another character and then start the Terran commander? Im a bit confused.

The Terran starts have a combined plot that includes the Hub ,UFJD and a Terran PHQ...(Not the CW PHQ we are all familiar with)
