X3TC problem with mission 7 of terran plot

I tried to post this on the general discussion but the new topic link for that forum (and only that one) isn't working for me.

I have a problem on the old ground mission of TC. I haven't played in awhile so I don't remember what went wrong and probably should have tried to fix it then, but the springblossom that should go to the tyr is an enemy, and the tyr is missing, or at least I haven't found it. The mission guidance is still on defend the stations.

Am I screwed? Do I have to restart the game in order to finish that plot?

If you're having issues with new topics, trying deleting your browser cache. That's usually the issue.

I suspect a moderator may move this to x-universe, for greater exposure.

From Tech Support perspective, have you tried reverifying your Steam cache for TC? This may replace any corrupt or missing files.

Are you running any mods? If you are, these may affect the vanilla game.

no, im playing vanilla x3 from disc. I did however just install it and move my save files from my old computer
