but i agree with your statement

This board is bored

I enjoyed the fl threads as they were actually worth reading even if i didn't give a toss about fl.

Too many times lately i've logged on to find the first page of the board cluttered with pointless posts. That have no substance, humour or topic.

To many poeple making too many posts so nothing is getting the chance to develop into a decent thread as its off page 1 in less than a day now ???

Being serious, mostly. Board has become dull, as you say, a whole lot of one liners that quickly vanish down the page.

I blame Egosoft for their frugal approach to X2 news. (I hope there are beta testers testing X2). i'd like to see fictionalised accounts of their exploits like there are on the Freelancer board, based on the PR Beta release to game website owners. That was an imaginative piece of marketing Egosoft would do well to emulate. something, anything to get our teeth into while we wait for May or June to drag around.

IMHO

The money men at egosoft know they have a captive audience here who will buy x2 no matter what

That means that they don't have to bother with us and have decided to concentrate on recruiting new peeps.

I'd probably have done the same myself

Steel's + others will be working their socks off to promote x2 with the rags and make sure real deadlines are met which again takes them away from this place.

Can't say i'm too happy when a mag has more new info on x2 than we do
but again i can understand why.

If it wasn't for CJ we'd be alot less informed than we already are and it seems he was reprimanded for posting stuff by someone high up the ladder.

At the end of the day though, I can heartily accept being a mushroom if x2 is as good as we hope.

And even the force can't tell me a reliable release date which is the one thing that would shut us all up whining.
