I've built hundreds of stations on missions. But so far every mish I take to build a station in Terran space fails. Placing the station as exactly as possible does not trigger a completion. The result is MY station and the mission remaining.
I've tried placing the station while piloting my Elephant and getting within 15k of the marker - without success.
So far the mish have been for ARGON crystal Fab, Shield 200 MJ, and Shield 2 GJ - all same result.
I have NOT completed HUB mish (30k microchips to go) nor Aldrin mish.
Anyone else experience this?
(oops! noticed I have to update computer in sig)

This is a common problem in Terran sectors, mostly due to the large size, and collision box, of the stations. What happens is a beacon is placed by the mission, which then sometimes moves due to collision avoidance routines when you enter the sector. The game wants the station placed at the proper coordinates, and doesn't really care about the beacon itself.
The workaround is to move an asset into the sector before you enter with the TL, note the beacon's coordinates, and then jump in with the TL. Place the station as close to the noted coordinates as possible and ignore the beacon. In these cases, you can safely ignore the beacon itself.

Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.
