Goner Plot
OK I save the True Light Seeker, then the game went daft. Told to rescue Goner ships in Bright Profit, got thanked before I set off. Same in Company Strength (I think) Then when I get to an area where I can take action. No matter what I do, the pirates take out the Goner Ranger.

From what I recall of X3TC, some of the Goner Rangers are invincible anyway and cannot be destroyed. Also even if you do nothing, the NPC local forces eventually take out the Pirates in each case of protecting the Rangers and so the plot will continue after a while even without your active help.
