The "Comma" incidents

Okay so you all know the whole thing with credit system, 1,000 1k 1,000,000 1 mil, and so on,

So here's what really confuses me, I see it in the pilot wallet area but when you goto purchase a item such as a ship you can seee it in the ship section but not in the wallet section. What I mean to say is, your money, the bottom right corner, would be one whole syllibul like this 3400987 instead of for example 3,400,987 and so on. But the prices would be commaed

I suspect that it was scripted that way without dividers to get more detailed information (ie more figures for lower credit values such as when starting out) into the bottom right corner field before having to round the display down to the thousands or millions as it does after a while to make it fit. Just a guess mind.

I also know that use of commas or points has divider versus decimal indication issues in other language sets. The screen display figure formats are not so easily changed as by using a language file so perhaps it is best to avoid them for multi-lingual situations.

eg does 3,345 = 3345 or 3.345 in say France?
