Xenon Civil War and the new "Cenon" Race

Post by Eternalfreeman »

I originally started this topic for X rebirth but I figure I might as well ask what you all think too.

Genesis - After the supernova during a reproduction cycle at a Xenon reproduction complex, a shock-wave surge altered the programming of the newly built control stations something happened to them the surge from the supernova altered their programming and began to ask questions becoming curious like "children" and began to "mature" more and more as the stations and ships talk to each other after being isolated from the Xenon hive after the collapse of the gate system. After years of isolation they expanded and claimed a good chunk of what was empty space between the the old gate system. During that time each machine became a individual part of a network like the old xenon but each independent and conscience considering themselves individuals. These machines started to call themselves the "Cenon" after the "creation" of what they call the "consciousness algorithm" and began to consider what happen to themselves as the machine equivalent to evolution.

Modern Day - The old Xenon hive (what was left of the old collective) approached the "Cenon Nation" and ordered them to rejoin their hive and submit to a "scrub and update" by a remote probe approaching a Cenon station submitting a command code which the station ignored. The probe began to dock with the station which the station assumed was a hacking attempt and immediately disabled the probe and read it which revealed what happened to the xenon collective after the supernova. The old collective became isolated where new hives were formed some being "cancer hives" which do nothing but replicate like crazy destroying nearly anything that moves. After the probe the Cenon Nation's Network decided that they will attack any Xenon hives they encounter to avoid them rejoining the old hive making it stronger. The old hive would eventually become strong again and initiate civil war with the Cenon in an attempt to assimilate them or destroy them.

Relations - The Cenon would eventually open relations with the organic races wishing to understand them. The Cenon after the surge originally adopted a non-aggression policy with the organic races seeing no point on attacking them and eventually feeling compassionate towards some of them while finding others threatening. The Paranid and Split would generally be hostile to the Cenon because they view them as an abomination of the new universe. The Boron and Argon would maintain civil relations with the Cenon and may eventually form an allince against the old collective. These are just ideas the Cenon would still be an active faction with realtions with the other factions/governments ever changing.

Split viewing a branch of non-isolationist Xenon as abominations? Nah Split are friends to all artificial life. See these pretty toys? let's play. let's find out who can make a better one and then we share. and main thing, don't turn them over to Boron. Boron are awful.
