Hias,

I think someone did make a rough table somewhere... but cant seem to find it anymore.

A few things to note tho,
* max saturation to get the brightest possible colors. (when trying out new ones)
* colors vary from race to race somewhat. (for example green hues on paranid and split ships arnt the same)
* Colors show up best on split ship.
* boron ships cant be sprayed :(

If i remember correctly purple/pink is around 300 and green is 150.
possibly yellow at 50 and red at 80, very unshure on those though.

hope that helps alittle :)

Not used the model viewer myself, I just find it easy enough to park outside my PHQ in an m3 near the ship I want to change the colour of and watch it all happen real time, of course it’s only good for external docked ships :)

If I recall correctly, the hue setting is a relative shift compared to the starting or default hue and so will give different end colours on different ship textures.

Here is a more detailed thread.

no i do understand how it works. its just obviously it takes a bit of working out to get from default to an approximate of what you want (where possible)

i just hoped there might have been a document somewhere that could help save a lot of time and experimentation.

also why does the spray shop work the way it does, would it not be easier to have the Hue wheel or such displayable and just move the point like you can with simple programs like MS Paint (the box in the custom colour selection) thats not a jab at anyone its a honest question, just my thiking is if its in something simple like MS Paint its got to be relativly simple for a game designer to add in.

Not exactly. The way the games GUI is programmed doesn't allow such interaction. Making something like that is probably easy but they would have to redesign the whole system the GUI is based on. As you know the Menus in X games are very static and this is why this is not possible. I've never seen the Spray Shop menu so I might be explaining how it already looks, but I think it could be made so that it uses the same method on how wares are bought and sold by changing various bars. Then you hit enter and that setting/paint is applied.
