AP survival guide download failing - 'Save target as' worked.

In the Downloads > Albion Prelude > Survival Guide > English file fails to download for some reason. For me it always seems to get stuck at around 190 kbs and nothing else ever happens. Have tried a few times to no avail... thought I'd let you know in case there is something wrong with the file at the website end ( I only want to download it because I am curious as to why it is 54-64mb in size too, but have not been able to look at it). yeah well thats all really...

I am using the latest win internet explorer browser on my win 7 ult. and have latest plugins for acobat etc.. so should not be a problem.

Try to rightclick on the Download link, select the "Save Target As"-option, save the Survival Guide somewhere on your PC and open it then with the Adobe Reader (or any other program that is capable of reading/displaying pdf files). Sometimes certain browsers have problem with opening bigger pdf-files directly. The download itself works fine for me, though.

If you're referring to the general download description of the Survival Guide (02.Mar.12 X3: Albion Prelude Survival Guide 52.2 MB - 62.9 MB), then the different download sizes refer to the different languages (German and English) the Survival Guide is available in as an pdf file. The German file is smaller than the English one.

Thanks - the 'save target' method has worked (I forgot about that trick, haven't used it in awhile.) I now see it is essentially the same content as the AP Survival Guide Sticky in the forums, except it is an Illustrated version, as I had hoped. Excellent, and Great work
