X3AP - Can only dock at Boron and player stations after patch 2 - Fixed itself.

I might have missed something but after installing the Patch and starting the Boron mission, I can't dock anywhere but Boron, my own, and corporate stations.

My automated ships can all dock and trade - its just the player ship that can't.

Anyone know whether this is this part of the mission or a bug?

What kind of ship are you flying? What are your ranks towards the other races and factions? How do you try to dock (manually, with autopilot, with autopilot and docking computer)? What happens if you try to dock to a station?

How strange - the problem suddenly disappeared and now I can dock everywhere!

Might be worth doing a Steam verify gamefiles cache for X3AP. If you have a corrupt gamefile then this or a worse issue could come back and become embedded in your gamesaves making them unloadable.

Bugger. I'm having this problem too, and it's screwing up my missions because I can't send recaptured ships back to the trading station, or deliver necessary goods there. Any help?

Apologies for not being more explicit.

I've done a steam verify and sadly, no luck there, both on AP and TC.

What happens is that I go to autopilot dock (shift D) and it will fly around the station ad nauseum, with no docking lights and no seeming way to actually get in. When I order other ships to dock, they do the same. When I open the comms menu and ask HAL to open the proverbial pod bay doors, he says essentially "I'm sorry, I can't do that Dave".

This evening when I go home I'll try starting up another game to see if it's a problem with a new game as well, but I'd really rather not lose all the hours I've put in so far. Thoughts?

Obviously you can also check your rep and friend/foe status on all the relevant ships of yours with the possibly different races owning both the sector and the stations where you are trying to dock.

Otherwise just give it a while and see if it just goes away as it did for the OP (maybe when a particular plot/mission has ended?).
