Hired tl ignoring dock at shipyard command - AP Terran commander start

I hired a teladi albatross in ptni headquarters with the intention of having it pick up a station in the mars shipyard. It follows my commands fine, up until I ask it to dock with the shipyard. Nothing happens, the captain replies with affirmative, then the command is listed as none. I've tried everything i can think of, does anyone have any idea what might be causing the issue?

I believe it's a matter of reputation. The commonwealth simply aren't welcome to dock there. You should be able to find a terran TL somewhere around there.

A brief warning as well if it matters to you and you didn't know: the terran start is simply a sandbox and none of the (brief) plot lines are active.

I've allready tried but it seems that the Terran start stops you from hiring a Terran tl. I've looked at the npc mobile mining base ships and even the atmospheric lifter near Venus but none of them have the transport option in the comms menu. I thought it might be a rep issue but then I've also seen various commonwealth trade ships, including teladi, moving throughout the Terran sectors so I'm not entirely sure. I can understand if they disabled your ability to hire a Terran tl due to the hard mode reputation of the Terran start but would be nice to know for sure.

you can hire terran TL's but not AtmoLifters you need to look for a "Terran Supply Mobile Mining Base Ship"
