In Interworlds when doing the mission to protect the Jonferco Supply Mammoth, I noticed it was under attack from the Paranid. After defeating the attacking Terrans, the Paranid ships began destroying the Argon ships and stations.
Edit: According to the mission the Paranid are meant to be aiding in its protection.

It probably started when somebody accidentally got caught in the crossfire.
Then his pals took offense at that, and decided to teach the sloppy gunner who smashed their bro a lesson.
Before long, everybody was in on the brawl.
It happens from time to time. Nothing really you can do but let it blow over.
