Albion Prelude--Build Mission in Albion Alpha error
I'm having a problem with doing build missions in Albion Alpha. I've built many factories, so this is most likely not user error, and this is the only sector I have problems in so far (haven't tried the other Albion sectors though, but lots of other sectors). I'm playing an unmodified Steam version. I received two build missions for Albion Alpha, took forever to fly my Mammoth into the sector, and when I place the station on the navigational beacon (yes I'm verifying it is the correct station for the correct beacon), it becomes my station built on the beacon, and I don't complete the mission. I've tried it over and over again, but no luck. Seems like some sort of glitch.

I stay hell out of Albion sectors for such reasons :/
(lack of jumping, and very messed up models/hit boxes/asteroids or something)
I'd bet what's happened is the navigation beacon got flung far out of proper placement as soon as you were in sector, because it was placed too close to something. Out of sector it doens't matter, nothing is "real", but soon as in sector, it has to sortout legitimate placements, and with all the asteroids, accelerator rings etcin Albion...
hence I always note down the nav beacons coordinates as soon as I get a mission from outside the sector!
reload game before youw ere in sector, chekc nav beacon, note coordinates, try again
if no prior save, or if got mission IN the sector itself...forget it, unless you wish to try placing the station again and again, at random, tofind suitbale spot
(note that vertical alignment is much less of an issue for acceptable placement, by way, or os it seems)

Yes, the sectors do seem messed up. I drop a satellite in one place, and it appears far away in another place. And trying to autopilot through there turns a short trip into a very long one. So I think your analysis is correct, and I ended up aborting the missions (couldn't go back to before that, as it took a while to get a Mammoth into the area and I already saved over the old saves). But maybe the tech support for this game will decide to fix this problem, once they see it exists.
