If you send a pirate ship that you own off to destroy a target will your rating still go down with the targeted race even though you are not present?

Actually, I disagree with Ap here--your standing with a race isn't generally affected by actions taken by ANY of your ships which you aren't flying, or at least they weren't in earlier versions of X-T. I suppose it's possible they fixed this in 2.1 without me noticing.

I agree with Ap, sorry Paul. Your remote ships do affect your ratings, just very slowly.
Example: lasertowers in paranid space allowed me to improve my rating to a point witch I could trade with them without me actually having fired a single shot in the game.

However I don't belive you can order 'pirate ships' to attack anything, or is the Colonel talking about pirate fighters, Bayamons, Oris and the like?
