Shipyards & Equipment docks...

I'm wondering, if I script myself a shipyard and an equipment dock in a sector, then get my Mammoth to dock at the shipyard, will it automatically trade with the EQ ? If I add wares like Energy Cells and Ore to the ED will it be able to load them on board ? Would I also be able to script my ship docking at the shipyard and obtaining these wares ?

this is something I'll play around with tonight, but just wondering if anyone else had played with this.
