he its an family comp although me and my dad know the most about it my sister only chats and e-mails on it my dad works on it and i keep it running and play games on it hence all the shortcuts

Just look at the bottom right part of the screen... what a mess! All those active programs ruin your pc's performance... and believe me, you can do without any of them, (except firewall perhaps).
