[X2] Musik klingt dumpf

Hallo alle zusammen,

ich wollte grade mal wieder (nach langer Zeit) ins X2-Universum schlüpfen um mein altes Imperium zu begutachten.

Leider klingt die Musik des Spiels auf einmal etwas dumpf, etwa so, als wären die Dateien nur 11kHz und Mono. Eine Verzerrung oder zu-schnell-Laufen (wie ich in anderen Threads gelesen habe) hab ich aber noch nicht bemerkt. Die Soundeffekte betrifft das nicht, die klingen völlig normal. Auch wenn ich die Mp3's direkt abspiele, ist alles in Ordnung. Als ich das Spiel noch auf meinem alten PC hatte gab es das Problem auf jeden Fall noch nicht, könnte es also etwas mit der Soundkarte (onboard) oder DirectX zu tun haben? Fehler tritt sowohl in Version 1.4 als auch 1.5 auf, sonst ist nichts installiert (auch nicht das Bonuspaket). Erneutes Kopieren der Dateien von der CD hat nichts genützt. Hat da jemand von euch vielleicht eine Idee? Den DxDiag-Bericht häng ich mal hinten dran.

Da du deine Onboard-Soundkarte schon angesprochen hast: Deren Soundtreiber ist schon über ein Jahr alt, und könnte eine Aktualisierung vertragen.

Ich hab zwar grade mal ein Update gemacht, allerdings hat der Treiber immer noch die selbe Version wie vorher, offenbar gibt es keinen Neueren. Die Tonqualität der Musik hat sich dadurch auch nicht verändert.

Ist denn sonst noch bei niemandem dieses Problem aufgetreten? Bei allen anderen Spielen (auch älteren) klingt der Ton inklusive Musik völlig normal, X² scheint das Einzige mit diesem Fehler zu sein.

Solltest du über die windowseigene Treiberaktualisierungsfunktion versucht haben deinen Soundtreiber zu aktualisieren, so ist dies leider nur ein unzureichender Weg. Der Direktdownload von der Herstellerseite in deinem Fall realtek ( http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/ ) ist hier die bessere Alternative. Einen aktuellen Realtek High Definition Audio Treiber aus diesem Jahr sollte dort verfügbar sein. Ein Start des Spiels mit Standardeinstellungen (siehe Häckchen-Box im X2-Starter) könnte man auch mal ausprobieren.

So, ich melde mich nochmal: Der neue Treiber hat nichts verändert, da hab ich X2 erstmal wieder fallen lassen. Nachdem ich mir aber vor Kurzem X3 TC besorgt hab und da exakt der selbe Fehler auftrat, hab ich mal weitergesucht und folgende Lösung gefunden: Konvertieren aller Audiodateien mit 48kHz. Danach muss man sie natürlich wieder neu als MP3 komprimieren, hab ich mit 192 kb/s gemacht um den Qualitätsverlust zu minimieren.
