Rear gunner Fix Req Plz

Would love to be able roll ship from turret [no direction change]. It would enable me to run to nearest base whilst shooting from turret and keeping target in sights for longer, plus it would help recharge of sheilds as ship travells in shortest route but enemys must weave etc inc distance to travell thus reducing speed adv. Dont know if its possible to mod controlls but any advice would help. Also a panic button that auto locks/pilot to nearest freindly base or even capt ship. [ I might try new thread for panic button]
