I think someone should translate this idea in to english :p

Over all: EGOSOFT got only 5.2% voting percents for the title "best game developer of germany". So please vote for them because we need mutch more publicity here in the german language area...

I tried to vote also, but can't read it to vote. So, left Nightflyer a post, maybe he can point us in the right direction.

What? Where do I vote? It only shows the stats. Is it closed perhaps?

I need to know what to look for to vote. I found the list showing the rankings but not where to actually submit the vote.

Sorry, the closest I ever got to understanding German was Hogan's Heros.

Lol! They left out Piranha Bytes. Which is currently the most succesful german developer (they just released Gothic 2). And I gotta say it would be a hard decision if they were in...

But compared to the (crappy) rest Egosoft is completely out of contest (or at least should be...)

You need to register first. You can do that by clicking on "Jetzt Member werden" on the right top.

Or to make it more simple:

Nickname, Password and EMail is all you have to enter.
I reccommend to set the two radio buttons at the end of the page to "abbestellen" unless you want to receive their (german) newsletter.

The next page confirms your request. You will now get an email with a link to activate your account.

If you get this error: "Fehler: Es hat sich schon jemand mit diesem Login angemeldet."
It means that the nick you have chosen is already in use.

The mail you get (from community@pcgames.com) has a lot of bla bla about Netiquette, How to set your profile and stuff.

At the very end there is a link "Anmeldung abschließen" click it And you will be directed to a page with the line "Der user wurde freigeschaltet" in other words, your account is active.

Now go to this page: http://www.pcgames.de/?menu=0100

And on the left where it say "Login" enter your username and password.

Now go to this link:
http://www.pcgames.de/?menu=0100&poll_id=10168

And check the german game developer you think is/was best.
Scroll down to "Absenden" click it and you're done...

If you decide to vote for egosoft remember that too many votes could be bad as the guys at pcgames would think we were manipulating their poll - so if you think it is realistic enough think twice before voting.

Burnit,

Doing everything you said, it still brings you to the stats on the poll. There is no link to click to vote. Looks to me, like we need a little help, 5.9 percent, one of them is 22 percent. Not a good ratio :)

Usually this only happens when you are not logged in or voted already.
Try to log in, go to the poll-link and hit refresh (never trust a browser's cache...)

This is a Translated copy of Pcgames.de

X 2 - the threat

31.12.2001 06:00 o'clock - players from all world at a Community meeting were allowed to make sure at the end of of October 2001 named x-Con of the fact that X2 probably contains everything, which one can expect from a Single player Weltraumsimulation and for which hundreds of player its ideas to have given.
Freshly arrived in impressing a large universe, one faces soon the first danger: the Khaak. More maliciously still than xenon from X, still existing , and to find more difficult than the Pirate, they make the sectors uncertain. Waffenstarrendes a ship must ago, but fast! In X2 one makes the necessary money as dealer, mercenary, Pirate or Industriemagnat. Occupation and/or character changes is at any time possible, has however their consequences. So a call might stand to so some trade as merciless Pirate in the way.
Wirtschaftsbosse will feel well in X2. As soon as money is present for investment, one can build and acquire factories, power stations and market places, in order to sell to friendly peoples food, weapons and much more besides. Since one can not constantly protect its Firmenimperium scattered presumably far against aggressors, one should engage fighters. As intelligent these are, lies in the hand of the player. Program sequences of the kind "if an opposing combat ship into the proximity of this factory, attacked" to be able too arbitrarily long Scripted to be combined, also the production and price structuring of its companies comes may automate one in this way. An on-line exchange stock exchange for such programs already is in planning.Who wants absolutely, also everything can make. By push of a button one arrives into each of its ships and takes over its control - even into individual turrets one may rise. The command over the abandoned object takes over then a script.
The X2 universe will be still by far livelier and color-gladder, than in the previous version. Multicoloured nebulas (bring with contact with a spaceship the its electrical connection in disorder), dangerous Asteroidenfelder and active NPCs (those possibly factories build and unexpected prove to competitors of the player become) to populate the play universe.
