They do look scary. Reminds me when I saw the shadow vessels in Babylon 5 for the first time.

I had a similar thought. Vorlons rather than Shadows though.

Khaak and Vorlons are both relatively colourful, both kinda' octopussy/squid shaped, both always seen in large groups, both have ships of many different sizes within the group, both unknown mysterious agenda.

Where the Shadows were, "Jet black. A shade of black so deep your eye just slides off it. A spider big as death and twice as ugly. When it flys past its like you hear a scream in your mind." Mostly seen in ones or threes. Rarely see anything but the big ones. Obvious agenda, chaos and destruction.

But that's just me. Ever since the pilot movie I didn't like the Vorlons. I always thought there was something very wrong with them. Not to be trusted. But then they got involved in the fight and I thought "maybe I was wrong about them". Then the following episode, New Khosh showed up and my dislike was renewed.
I had hoped that when the Vorlons true plan was discovered Sheridan would form an alliance with the Shadows, alas not.
I still get a cold shiver when I see a fleet of Vorlon ships or an encounter suit.
I always liked the Shadows, and Mr Bester, (and Sheriff Lucas Buck, but that's another story)

It's funny how if a spaceship or creature looks like something that we would fear on Earth (e.g Spider, Scorpion) that people find it creepy or scary....

They look a bit like the Gonarch creature from the end of Half Life.

They look scary allright, and I think you've got to prepare yourselfs quite a bit before encountering such a fleet, or is it swarm ?
They make me think of locusts (spelling? i mean those swarms of grasshoppers) because so far we haven't seen any factories owned by the Khaak, or did we ?
Makes me think of the aliens in independence day, they arive, loot anything usable, and move on, leaving a burned and depleted race behind....scary thought.

It'll be a lot of fun taking it up on these guys...things...whatevers :D

Cheers,

Yeah, they're locusts alright. If they decide to swarm us as in the picture... Does anyone know how much is that worth in an LT/M3 squad?
